REPRESENTATIVE  LYNN  GATTIS,  SPONSOR, explained  that  the                                                                    
bill  was  a   cost  saving  measure  for   the  state.  The                                                                    
legislation   allowed  for   DHSS   to   purchase  used   or                                                                    
refurbished durable medical equipment.
